Lois Jean Pymm Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 13, 2025, just shy of her 96th birthday. Lois was born on May 3, 1929, in St. George, Utah, to Bertha Miles and Walter Pymm.
On September 9, 1950, she married the love of her life, Stanley Adams, in the St. George Temple. After their marriage, they made their home in Enterprise, Utah, where they raised their family and built a life filled with love, hard work, and service.
Lois attended school in St. George and graduated from Dixie College. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she truly loved everyone-and they knew it. She was a constant presence in the Enterprise community, first working in the potato fields alongside her cherished friends, and later at Cloves Mercantile. At Cloves, she became the go-to person for questions about fabric and sewing. People came from near and far just to buy material and see Lois. Her grandchildren especially loved visiting her there.
A talented cook and seamstress, Lois was famous for her cinnamon rolls and home cooking, generously sharing her talents with many in the community. She sewed for countless people, creating cherished Barbie doll clothes for her granddaughters and beautiful quilts by hand. Her hands were never idle, always busy with something beautiful.
Throughout her life, Lois faced many challenges, but she met them all with a smile on her face and love in her heart. Her kindness, resilience, and deep faith made her a pillar of strength and a source of comfort for all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, her many friends, and the entire Enterprise community she loved so deeply.
Lois is survived by her four children: Terry (John) Bell of Washington, Utah; Mary Lynn (Cloyd) Stratton of Cedar City, Utah; Janalee (Kevin) Woods of Beryl, Utah; and Ray (Tammy) Adams of Santa Clara, Utah. She was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom were her favorites.
She was preceded in death by her sweetheart Stan; her infant daughter, Zenetta; her parents, Bertha and Walter Pymm; her siblings, Howard, Ronnie, and Donnie Pymm, and Maxine Hafen; and many other dear loved ones who welcomed her home with open arms.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Colton Bracken, the dedicated staff at Zion's Way Hospice, and her special friend, Becky, for their tender and loving care.
